Credit Enhancer Scheme


To assist entrepreneur who have viable project but lack of collateral to obtain the required financing amount from financial institutions based on credit risk profile of borrower.

Eligibility criteria

  • All Malaysian business entities which registered with SSM and must be within SME definition
  • No adverse record with CGC or other Financial Institutions
  • Franchise businesses also eligible to apply under this scheme.

Guarantee Coverage

30% to 90%

  • Unsecured Portion - Up to 80% (a maximum cover of RM2.5 million)
  • Secured Portion - Up to 90% (no capping imposed on secured portion)

Guarantee Fee

2.10% to 2.70% p.a. while unsecured portion is from 2.40% to 3.00% per annum based on the guarantee coverage with CGC.

Green Technology Financing Scheme (GTFS)


The Green Technology Financing Scheme (GTFS) was established by the Government to promote investments in green technology, a sector that is envisaged to be one of the emerging drivers of economic growth for our country.

This is a national initiative aimed at achieving a sustainable environment. The Participating Financial Institutions' (PFIs) role is critical in ensuring the success of the GTFS, which entails the financing of companies that supply and utilize of green technology.

Guarantee Coverage

60% of financing amount.

Application Procedure

Companies are to submit request for technical audit to Pusat Tenaga Malaysia . Upon passing the technical audit, companies may proceed to forward the application for financing to any PFIs.

Upon approval, PFIs shall apply for guarantee to CGC direct

Application Dates

Effective 1 January 2010 for a period of 3 years or upon approval of financing up to RM1.5 billion, whichever is earlier.

SME Assistance Guarantee Scheme (SAGS)

  • Financing of up to RM500,000 per SME
  • Applications for this Scheme till 31st December 2009 or when the financing limit of RM2 billion has been fully utilised.

Working Capital Guarantee Scheme (WCGS)

  • Financing of up to RM 10 Million per Company
  • Applications for this Scheme from 10th Mar 2009 to 31st Dec 2010, or upon full utilisation of fund.

Machinery GERAN & Business start-up GERAN

  • 50% or RM250,000 from total machinery purchase price
  • Free and without pay back
